Do you need a special projector for DVD players instead of computers. Price that we have a Dell, mainly to see the meetings and PowerPoint presentations, but they say, is good for a small room. Is it good or compromising image quality? It features 2000 ANSI lumens, contrast ratio of 2100:1 and DLP.

On the surface it seems that should be good. The lighting and contrast are good, I prefer DLP and LCD.
The only thing you can do to ensure is that it's native resolution, like an image is to be preserved. PJ with 800 x 600 will not be as good as 1024 x 780, for example.
Also I would not worry too much about the lumen. In a small room about Med 1000 more or less, it should also light enough to read the ambient air to win.
