Treaty Of Guadalupe Hidalgo Before And After Photos Do The Many Mexicans On Here Understand That The US Did Not "steal" The American Southwest?

Do the many Mexicans on here understand that the US did not "steal" the American southwest? - treaty of guadalupe hidalgo before and after photos

Who was from Mexico to the United States in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was in 1848. The United States of Mexico has also paid 15 million U.S. dollars over 3.25 million U.S. dollars debt from Mexico, American citizens in order to pay a total of 18.25 million U.S. dollars for the areas in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, parts of Utah and Colorado.

The Gadsden Purchase (note the word BUY, not to steal) was purchased for $ 10 million in 1853.

You learn your history before accusing the United States, in order to really bought that you steal. And if you have a problem with the United States, having bought this territory, then blaming the fault of the Government of Mexico in the 1840s and 1850s, not the Americans today because we had nothing to do with it.

I think that such a question before the answers. And yes, I know my history. AP U.S. history class is not exactly a dummy. I know it was technically not "stolen" from Mexico. But it was technically be used. The Mexican government has requested the U.S. settlers to boost its economy and inspire the loyalty between the two nations. But then the Americans wanted the land. The Mexican War followed.

The war was unjust. For the simple fact that it "Manifest Destiny" and imperialism on the bottom level. When Ulysses S. Grant said that the war was "one of the most unjust ever undertaken by a stronger against a weaker nation.

The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed after the United States, as expected, won the war. Thus, the rules are not necessarily in favor of Mexico. Although, as you said, the U.S. government donated more than $ 15 million and paid claims against America, Mexico, Mexico lost more than half of his country, all in the north.

Therefore, it is considered theft. Yes, technically, there is an agreement in a contract, but the winner always the better part of the cake is. In the end, the United States still have much ground.

So yes, I know.

I think I sound ignorant, or simply to say that for the Mexicans as a whole and not to recognize that all Mexicans have believed our country from Mexico.

I am, I know the history of Mexico, never thought we stole the whole of the next time not to refer to Mexicans do not know our history, if only a small percentage who think this way.

Amen and his brother. they understand. they just want to feel guilty that is not here illegally. You want to justify it, it is illegal. believe that America is the world's history unknown. their Govt should stop lying to them. I am so happy to live in a country that lies to its citizens.

The only argument that might be, is Texas.

I am here to bring you the story went as follows: The Mexican government has broken these days the Constitution of 1824 and lead the European settlers. The European settlers took over the troubled hostile natives that parts of Texas. Texans killed without mercy to one of the few that was the Alamo. They chased Sam Houston once had a small force. Saturday it has in San Jacinto. Santa Anna was captured, has changed his mind. And was born soon after Texas and joined the Union. Lone Star Nation by HW Brands is a good book ...

Mexico has many resources. People in Mexico are so smart and talented. It is unfortunate that there are people who do not work, and thrive without their own country and do not give us the hungry eyes ...

I only hope that this is no longer the message, "we do not cross the border, we crossed the border" nonsense.
